The AlpenGold Hotel is part of the renowned Michel Reybier Hospitality Group.
Located in the beautiful Grisons Alps, 1560 meters above sea level, in Davos, the highest city in Europe, the AlpenGold Hotel offers everything that vacation, but also business guests desire.
All 216 rooms and suites have their own balcony with a breathtaking view over the alpine town and the Davos landscape. The hotel has 3 restaurants, two bars, a unique Kids Club, the exclusive Nescens Spa over 1200 m² and state-of-the-art conference facilities, which extend over 1500 m².
You will contribute to the smooth operation of the hotel kitchen by preparing and serving food to a high standard while observing hygiene measures. To meet the exquisite standards of our hotel, you should be passionate about your job. You will implement food regulations in line with our brand standards through high quality performance and presentation, ensuring that food losses are kept to a minimum.
Your duties:
- Preparation of high quality food
- Supporting the kitchen team, ensuring smooth operations on a shift basis
- Professional and correct storage of delivered goods
- Compliance and daily control of hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of HACCP guidelines.
We expect
- A completed apprenticeship as a cook and already 2-3 work experiences in a similar function – preferably in the upscale hotel industry/catering trade
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure – your position will include very early weekend and holiday shifts
- Eye for detail and creativity – to bring your culinary signature to the table
- Excellent communication, teamwork and organizational skills
- Strong leadership skills- to manage your own post
- High level of commitment as well as a structured, results-oriented and independent way of working
- High quality awareness
- Very good knowledge of English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage.
