Let there be Light
At the AlpenGold Hotel, lighting installations create a feeling of well-being. By the end of 2024, all light sources in public areas and in the «Back of house» were converted to LED lighting. Use our «Master Light Switch» when leaving the room to turn off all lights with one click. In addition, lighting is reduced at night, supported by motion sensors.
Heating and cooling
Water is heated for SPA and rooms with regional wood from sustainable forestry. CO2 emissions are offset by absorption through growing forests. Thanks to the mild temperatures in Davos, all hotels operate without air conditioning. Cool nights provide pleasant cooling. The underground garage is efficiently heated with waste heat that would otherwise be lost.
